What CueBuddy Web can do
Open the page, paste your script, set font size, scroll speed, and mirroring, then:
- Full-screen / window / mirrored modes: mirror mode flips text horizontally for DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, or beam-splitter teleprompter rigs.
- Voice following: on supported browsers (desktop Chrome and Android Chrome work well), the script advances with your speech and pauses when you stop.
- Local recording: recordings are saved directly to your device; nothing is sent through CueBuddy's servers.

Three-step start
Step 1: Open the page and paste your script
Go to cuebuddy.cn/en/online-teleprompter.html in any modern browser. Paste your script in plain text or Markdown.
Step 2: Turn on voice following and mirroring (if needed)
If your browser supports speech recognition, enable voice following and start reading. Enable mirroring when using a camera rig.
Step 3: Read, record, download
After reading, if local recording is enabled, the file is saved straight to your device. No account, no cloud middleman.
When it may not fit
- Browser doesn't support speech recognition: some older browsers or strict privacy modes block voice following.
- Critical shoot without a test run: always record a 10-second test to confirm permissions, speed, and mirroring.
- Need transparent overlay on top of other apps: that is FlowPrompter's territory; CueBuddy Web doesn't currently support it.

Yes. Open the page and use it—no registration, no download, no watermark, and local recording is supported. It's positioned as "zero-barrier reading": get the prompting step working first, then decide whether you need the app's advanced features.
Does the web version need to be downloaded or installed?
No. Just open cuebuddy.cn/en/online-teleprompter.html in a browser and it works. Scripts are saved in your current browser and never uploaded to a server. Switching devices or clearing browser data will remove your local scripts, so keep your own backups of important ones.
Is voice following on the web the same as in the app?
The core experience is the same—"scrolls as you read, waits when you stop." The difference: web voice recognition depends on browser and system capabilities, and some environments may fall back to online recognition. The app uses Apple on-device recognition, which is more stable offline. For important formal shoots, use the app; for quick script tests, the web version is enough.
Is it safe to keep my scripts in the web version?
CueBuddy Web stores scripts in your local browser by default and doesn't upload them to a server, so your privacy is protected. But that also means you can't see them on other devices, and clearing browser data will delete them—back up important scripts yourself.
